About Sarah
I work in a warm, honest and down-to-earth way, offering a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can explore what is happening for you at your own pace.
My approach is integrative and person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life and that counselling works best when you feel heard, accepted and genuinely understood.
I place the therapeutic relationship at the heart of the work, offering empathy, respect and honesty as we explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences together. I will not tell you what to do or push you in a direction that does not feel right for you.
Instead, I will listen carefully, reflect with you, gently support your self-awareness, and help you begin to make sense of patterns, emotions or experiences that may be leaving you feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure of your way forward.
What I can help with
Counselling can offer space to talk about things that feel difficult to carry alone. You may be struggling with any of the following – or something else entirely. Please do get in touch.
Support for anxiety, overwhelm, OCD, obsessions, and the pressures of everyday life. Learn to understand your patterns and find steadier ground.
Compassionate support through loss – of a person, a relationship, a role or a life stage. Grief is not linear, and you don’t have to face it alone.
Trauma-aware, sensitive support for those carrying painful memories or past experiences. Sessions are always led by your readiness and sense of safety.
A non-judgemental space to explore feelings of depression, low self-worth, and the sense of being stuck or not good enough.
Support around relationship difficulties, sexuality, LGBTQ+ concerns, men’s issues, neurodiversity, and personal development.
Also: addiction, eating disorders, self-harm, spirituality, work-related issues & more
How I work
I offer a wide range of ways to work together – whatever feels most accessible and comfortable for you.
In-person sessions at Howe Street CM3 and Maldon, Essex. Monday to Friday, 3.30pm – 8pm.
Secure video sessions from your own home – just as effective as in-person and much more flexible.
Some people find it easier to talk without being seen. Telephone sessions are a valued option for many clients.
For those who struggle to leave the house, I offer home visits where appropriate. Please enquire for details.
Walking and talking in nature can be a powerful way to process and reflect. Available subject to location.
Whether you need a few focused sessions or ongoing support, I work at a pace that suits you.
